# Before you begin

Before creating an event, you may be required to carry out the following actions:

- [Configure your channel](/v1/docs/main-channel) (in the context of LiveStream Pro, your account is called a channel)
- Set up the streaming servers (this [article](/v1/docs/lspro-obs) might be helpful)
- Configure [user access](/v1/docs/user-management) to events

Then, you can proceed with [setting up an event](/v1/docs/event-setup), [producing](/v1/docs/livestream-studio) the event, and then [viewing](/v1/docs/about-the-viewer-app) the event.
