# Configure channel settings

### Description

Inside the Channel settings you can manage default settings for livestream events that are created in the future.

> Please be aware
> 
> These settings are only set for events that are created after the settings were made. Events that are already created are not affected by this default channel settings.

### Available settings

| Setting | Description |
| --- | --- |
| Make Single Sign-On default for event access | When enabled, new events will automatically use Single Sign-On for privacy. Organizers can change this setting inside the event. |
| Make new events private by default | When enabled, new events will automatically be private, accessible for editing only to the creator and invited collaborators. Organizers can change this setting inside the event. |
| Ingest authentication | If activated, the Ingest is additionally secured with a user name and password. |
