Configure Event Settings

In the configuration tab of the cockpit event, a number of parameters are available.

Video Call

This option is applicable if you chose the video call option for your event under Main Stage.

  • Custom video server: If needed, you can specify the URL of your own video call server to run all calls within your organization

  • Text chat in video calls: Enable or disable chats within the video call

Settings

  • Rooms creation by attendees: enable attendees to create rooms or limit to hosts only. If disabled, you can allow hosts to create room in a single category by enabling it in the category itself.

  • Allow creation of polls: Enable attendees to create polls

  • View previous polls: Enable attendees to see previous polls. If disabled, attendees cannot see previous polls.

  • Allow conversations: Enable attendees to chat with one another.

  • Show presence switch: If this option is not enabled, participants can only network in the networking area. Once enabled, this option becomes visible to attendees, and they can switch presence availability on the top bar. They can then receive calls from other participants without having to be inside the networking area. If you enable "Allow conversations", attendees can start conversations with others.

  • Allow joining rooms: If this option is enabled, attendees can join rooms directly. If not, attendees will remain their own rooms. You can use the manage attendees feature to determine which rooms they will enter.

  • Show number of attendees: If this option is enabled, the number of attendees in the main stage, networking area and a list of attendees is shown.

  • Show onboarding tutorial: If enabled, a short tutorial through the different tabs and functions is shown.

Support Chat

You can enable or disable custom support chat. If wished you can embed your own support chat.

Lobby areas

Here, you can use a customized lobby area. The lobby is where attendees start within the platform. Note, if nothing is set-up in the lobby the event information will be shown in the lobby area and also the waiting area before joining the event.

Networking areas

Here, you can use a custom networking tool. Provide the URL to the custom networking tool if desired.

Polls

If enabled, you can provide the URL to a custom poll.

Enable reactions

If enable, attendees can react within the video call. Attendees will see a reactions panel where they can share their reactions through emoticons.
