Configure your event
After you have created your event, you can configure your event to fit your needs. The following section shows you how to customize your event in the Configuration section.
Configuration section
The Configuration section contains settings for all parts of your event. Most of the settings are toggles that allow easy configuration.
Privacy Settings
In the privacy settings you can customize the privacy details for your event. The informaton entered here will be included in the event’s privacy informaton visible to attendees. You can leave the fields empty if you don’t want it to be shown.
Advanced Settings
In the configuration panel, you can find advanced settings.
For example, you can choose the default landing area, or even enable event attendees to create rooms. The table below describes all of the advanced settings:

Rooms creation by attendees | Allow attendees to create their own rooms |
Allow creation of polls | Allow attendees to create their own polls |
View previous polls | Allow attendees to view completed polls |
Allow video conversations | Allow attendees to initiate video call conversations with on another. You can allow video conversations and still have the networking pane hidden. |
Allow chat conversations | Allow attendees to initiate private chat messages conversations with one another. If disabled, only global chat is available. |
Allow joining rooms | Allow attendees to join existing rooms. If you want to manage on which rooms the attendees are talking, you can disable this option and manage the participants live during the event by clicking on your profile avatar. |
Show number of attendees | Show the number of attendees present on the main stage, networking and list of all attendees. |
Show attendees in rooms | If this setting is disabled, attendees will not be shown in room cards (room pane) nor in the join room dialog. |
Show presence switch | A presence switch will be placed in the topbar allowing the user to set if they allow others to start a conversation with them or not. |
Show onboarding tutorial | Enable or disable the onboarding tutorial for new attendees in the event. |
Send calendar invite | Configurable in each Email template |
Hide powered by image | If selected, the powered by image is not shown |
Hide lobby image | If selected, the image in the bottom right of the lobby is not shown |
Hide social sharing buttons | If selected, the social sharing buttons are not shown after the registration form |
Hide add to calendar button | If selected, the button to add to the calendar in the event page is not shown |
Auto join rooms | If selected, attendees will automatically join rooms when clicking on the room card and when entering a category with only one room in it. |
Custom default landing area | If enabled, you can customize where the participants will land in the event when first joining it |
Change event page date formatting | If enabled, you can customize which parts of the event date are shown in the event page |
Skip event page | If selected, attendees will automatically join the event without going through the event page. This only works when events are live. |
Support Chat
If enabled, you can use your own support chat tool. The support chat link on the help pane will open the link you provided on this configuration.
Lobby Area
Here you can find settings if you want to change the content of the lobby of your event.
Setting name | Description |

Custom lobby url | Choosing a custom lobby url allows you to display a web app/page instead of the description. |
Custom lobby description | Choosing a custom lobby description allows you to display adifferent description instead of the event description. |
Networking Area
If you would like to use your own network tool instead of our integrated tool, you can set it up here.
Polls
If you would like to use a 3rd party poll tool instead of our integrated poll function, you can set it up here.
Reactions on calls and streams
You can enable reactions on video calls and live streams. This will add a reactions panel where participants can click and share their emotions.
Post-event
Here you can find settings that will trigger after the event has finished like the redirection of users.
Setting name | Description |
---|---|
Redirect users on leave event | If selected, users will be redirected to the page configured when the user clicks on the leave button. |
Redirect users after event | If selected, users will be redirected to the page configured if the event has ended. |
Ondemand Video (Embedded App) | If selected, the landing page will replace the event banner with the entered url / video player. This allows you to host and ondemand video even after your event has ended. |
