# Creating a Player

Creating a custom video player in **VideoManager Pro** allows you to tailor the playback experience to your needs. By following these steps, administrators can generate, configure, and use a new player to publish videos seamlessly.

1. **Access the Player Generator**
  - Log into your VideoManager Pro account.
  - Ensure you have Player Generator access, as this feature is restricted.
  - Navigate to the Player Generator located in the Menu at the top right corner

2. **Create a player**
  - Inside the Player Generator, locate the ⊕ symbol next to All Players
  - Click on the ⊕ symbol to begin creating a new player
  - Assign a unique name to the player for easy identification
  - Select the option "Use New Player" to activate the new player
  - Click Create to finalise the setup

1. **Configure the player**
  - Once saved, the new player will appear in the list of generated players
  - Select the newly created player from the list to [configure](/v1/docs/configure-a-new-player) its settings according to your preferences, as highlighted in the above screenshot
  - Click ‘Apply’ to save your changes. You player is ready now

#### **Using the Player to publish videos**

- In **VideoManager Pro**, navigate to the [**Publish**](/v1/docs/sharing-videos-via-new-player) section
- Select the Player name you would like use, and retrieve the **share and embed codes** associated with your new player. More details on Publishing options [here](/v1/docs/sharing-videos-via-new-player)
