Pausing, looping, or splitting video objects
In the editor, you can work with a variety of video objects:
Some VideoCreator Pro libraries contain video objects with animations or motion graphics
Third-party libraries such as the iStock by Getty Images library contain millions of video objects you can use in your projects.
Once you have dragged a video object from a library to the Stage, you can modify its presence and behavior in different ways. On the Stage, you can resize it, reposition it and rotate it in the same way as with other visual objects, like images. On the Timeline, you can split, loop, or pause a video.
1. Splitting a video
Splitting can be useful if you wish to crop a video object. To split a video that is on the Timeline, you can right-click the blue time bar and select "Split at Playhead" or click "Split" below the Timeline. The video object will be cut in two and split over two layers. You can still adjust the edge by dragging it left or right (switch off the Snap function if needed for fine-tuning).
You can always make a video object shorter by clicking its right edge in the Timeline and dragging it to the left.
2. Looping a video
When you want to use a video object for longer than its actual length, you can loop it. This might be interesting for background videos or videos with motion graphics or animations you would like to repeat for a while.
To loop a video object, just drag its right edge to the right: the video will become longer by repeating itself one or more times:
You can also add loop times on Add animation function and indicate how many times the video should loop.
3. Pausing a video
To pause a video, right click the video and select Add pause, and a pause will be added to where the playhead is. You can adjust the duration of the pause by dragging the arrowhead left or right.
4. Tinting a video
Video objects can now be tinted with a color (see the Properties of a video object and look for the Tint option):
