The New Player supports subtitle display and customization for videos with subtitles, enhancing accessibility and user experiences.

How to Add and Enable Subtitles in VMPro

To add and enable subtitles in VMPro, follow these steps:

1. Open the Advanced Video Editing option in VMPro.

2. Navigate to the Subtitles section and follow the on-screen instructions

3. Once configured, publish the video using the New Player

Note: Video manager can choose to enable subtitles by default in a preferred language in the ‘Player Generator’. This ensure default subtitles are turned on upon video playback.

Viewing Subtitles in the Player

The language icon appears in the player control bar. User can click on the icon to open the language menu, and select their preferred language for subtitles and playback audio, when available.

Clicking on Subtitles in the language menu will open the subtitle menu where user can turn-off subtitles or enable them by picking language

The new ‘Style options’ allows user to personalise the appearance of subtitles in the video player, improving accessibility, readability, and overall user experience

Styling options include font selection, text adjustment, and color selection along with background color and transparency adjustments
