# Recording videos with webcam

#### Follow the steps below to make recordings of yourself using your webcam:

**Step 1**: In the VideoCreator Pro Editor go to the Toolkit on the right and choose **'Record'**. **Step 2**: Depending on your internet browser settings, you may be asked to give VideoCreator Pro permission to access your webcam and microphone. Choose which camera and microphone you want to use and click on **'****Allow'**.

**Step 3**: Now you are all set to start recording with your webcam.

Click on '**Start recording**' to begin recording.

**Step 4**: When you have finished recording, click on ‘Stop recording’. Give your recording a name and choose between 'Save and insert' or 'Save'. Save’ will put your recording in your library. If you add ‘insert’ it will also add the recording to your current project timeline. If you are unhappy about your recording, just click 'Restart recording'.

> Please note that the quality of your webcam recording will depend on the quality of the camera and microphone you have on your computer or laptop.
