Description

This feature is not part of the standard VideoManager Pro package, please contact you account manager for the activation of the feature.

There are two ways to archive videos in your account:

  • manually archive the video,

  • automatic archiving.

Archiving a video from the video list

To archive a video from the video list, follow these steps:

  • Select the video you want to archive.

  • Click the Archive button.

  • Confirm the archive of the video by clicking Archive again.

The selected video will be moved to the archive.

Archive a video based on a specific date

You can also specify a date-based archiving for a video. This means that the video will be automatically moved to the archive on a specific date.

To specify a date-based archiving, follow these steps:

  • In the video list, highlight the entry of the video which you want to be deleted at a specific time.

  • Open the Security accordion menu in the editing pane.

  • Click on the Security accordion and find the Archive Date field.

  • Chose the archive date that you want to assign to your video.

Note that the archive date cannot be greater than the deletion date in case the video has a retention policy assigned.

The Archive

The archive contains all video files that have been moved via the "archive" function in the video toolbar.

Once in the archive, you can restore videos or leave them there undefinitely.

To restore a video from the archive, open the context menu of the video and select Unarchive.
