Release | Select when you want the video to be released. You can choose to release it immediately, or you can schedule it to be released at a later date. |
How to release a video
After uploading a video, you need to release it before it can be published. This is only possible if the conversion of the 360p format is complete.
To release a video:
Select the video in the video list.
Open the Security accordion menu.
Toggle the Video release slider to On.
The video is released and is marked accordingly in the video list.
Release a video for a certain period of time automatically
You can release a video for a certain period of time automatically by defining the start and end dates and times.
To do this:
Select the video in the video list.
Open the Security accordion menu.
Click the Schedule release button.
Enter the start date and time in the Start date and Start time fields.
Enter the end date and time in the End date and End time fields.
Click the Apply button.
The video will be released automatically at the start date and time, and it will be un-released at the end date and time.
Delete a time-controlled release
Select the video in the video list.
Open the Security accordion menu.
Click the Delete schedule button.
The time-controlled release will be deleted, but the video will remain released.
To change the release status, you must actively disable the release option.

A notification will be sent accordingly to the retention policy configuration.
Please note that in order to be able to change or extend a retention policy of a video you must have the Edit retention policy or Extend retention policy permissions.
