How to geo-block video content
Prevent viewers in certain countries or regions from watching your video content by implementing geo-blocking.
Why geo-block video content?
There are a few reasons why you might want to geo-block video content:
Country-specific copyright: You may not have the rights to distribute your video content in certain countries.
Licensing agreements: You may have a licensing agreement that restricts where you can distribute your video content.
Compliance: You may need to geo-block video content to comply with laws and regulations in certain countries.
Enable geo-blocking
Click Security Policies in the navigation bar.
Select an existing security policy or create a new one.
In the editing area, select the Geo-blocking checkbox.
Optionally, enable the Whitelist mode.
If whitelist mode is enabled, viewers from the listed countries and regions can watch your video content.
Enter the country codes in the text box.
How does geo-blocking work?
Geo-blocking works by identifying the viewer's IP address and comparing it to a list of blocked countries or regions. If the viewer's IP address is on the blocked list, they will not be able to watch your video content.
