Upload a video attachment in VideoManager Pro

Attachment types must be defined

Before you can add attachments to a video, attachment types must be defined in the administration area. Instructions on how to do this are available in the "Administration: Video and Channel Attachments" chapter.

You can upload attachments to videos. Attachments can be helpful for storing related documents, such as invoices, licenses, or transcripts.

To upload a video attachment, follow these steps:

  • In the VideoManager Pro video list, select the video you want to add an attachment to.

  • Open the Attachments accordion menu.

  • Click the Upload button next to the document type you want to attach a file to.

  • In the File attachment dialog box, select the file you want to attach.

  • Click the Open button.

The file will be uploaded and will appear under the corresponding document type.

To perform other actions on an attachment, click the arrow next to the file name. A drop-down menu will open. The following actions are available:

  • Download: Download the attachment to your computer.

  • Replace: Replace the file with a different file.

  • Delete: Remove the attachment from the video.

Steps

  • Select the channel you want to add an attachment to from the list.

  • Click the triple-dot icon next to the channel name, and then click the Edit button.

  • Click the Upload button beneath the document type you want to attach a file to. Note that only one file can be uploaded for each type of attachment. Uploaded files must not exceed 10 MB.

  • In the File attachment dialog box, select the file you want to attach.

  • Click the Open button.

The file will be uploaded and will appear under the corresponding document type.

  • Download: Download the attachment to your computer.

  • Replace: Replace the file with a different file.

  • Delete: Remove the attachment from the channel.
